Please notify the school office asap if your child is unable to attend school due to illness, medical appointments or holidays.
Illness:
Please notify the school office if your child is unwell and unable to attend school by 9am at the latest. Please then notify the school on each subsequent day of illness. The school is unable to assume a child’s reason for absence.

Medical/ dental appointment:
Please provide the office with proof of your appointment eg. Appointment letter/ email.
Holiday:
Please notify the school of any holiday which fall within school term dates. Schools are only able to authorise absence from school in exceptional circumstances, but all requests are reviewed by the Headteacher. An absence form can be collected from the school office.
Children should be kept away from school 48 hours after their last bout of vomiting or diarrhoea.
If you are uncertain whether your child should be in school due to illness, please refer to the ‘Guidance on infection control in schools and other childcare settings’ sheet in your welcome pack. This can also be found at www.publichealth.hscni.net
Prescribed medications can be dispensed from the school office only if a medication is to be given four times daily. Please complete a medical form in the school office.
If the prescription is for 3 times daily, and the full dose can be given outside of school hours (eg breakfast time, after school and before bed) we are unable to dispense the medication.
Online payments for school trips, breakfast club, musical provision and lunches are to be made via Arbor.
If necessary we can accept cheques made payable to MOSPS (please write the child’s name and activity that you are paying for on the reverse of the cheque) or cash in named envelopes.
A post box for non-urgent reply slips, letters or payments is on the wall outside the school office. Please ensure that anything posted has a name and if it contains money, please ensure that it is securely sealed.
Yes, we provide breakfast from 7.30am at a cost of £4 per session per child. Booking is essential and payment is required in advance. Any sessions booked will be charged for.
Bookings can be made via the students Arbour account. Regular breakfast club sessions can be set up as a preference, which automatically populates your booking if you have sufficient credit.
Yes, after school clubs are run by both the school and outside providers. You will receive a list of clubs via email towards the end of the first week of each term. Teacher led clubs do not take place on the first week before, and the last week, after a half term. However, if you have questions relating to externally led clubs, you would need to contact them direct.
Please note that after school clubs are only available to students in years 1-6.
Parking is not allowed in the school car park without prior permission under any circumstances.
If you do have permission to park in the car park, this only applies to the 4 visitor spaces.
Parking is available on nearby roads or in the public car park on Lymington Road. Please be mindful not to block driveways and access for local residents and do not park at South Lawns Hotel.
School lunches are free for all students in Year R and KS1.
