We welcome both in-year and new Year R applications to MOSPS
If you are interested in your child joining us, either in our main intake into Reception each September or at any other time in any cohort, please make an appointment to visit us and we would be delighted to show you around our wonderful school.
Starting School in September 2026
If your child is 4 or will turn 4 before 1st September 2026, they can start school in September 2026. Applications are made via the Hampshire County Council website between the 1st November 2025 and the 15th January 2026.

In Year Applications
Our current planned pupil number is 327 and this number is reviewed each year. If we have a vacancy in the required cohort, we are delighted to offer all children a place at Milford on Sea Primary. However, if we are oversubscribed, priority is given to particular groups. Further details of oversubscription criteria and the admissions process can be found in our Admissions Policies below. These criteria are only used when we are oversubscribed.

MOSPS will notify parents/ carers of the outcome of their application in writing within 15 school days, though we endeavour to do this within 10 school days.
